Life Around Here

(Milo's valentines! "Ballytimes")
Running the trails
Nonstop strolling
Naps together always

Right now it's our quiet time of day that somehow miraculously usually happens unless I'm trying to accomplish anything, in which case it definitely won't. Milo is asleep in my bed upstairs, and Otto boy is right here by my side on the couch.

For the past couple of weeks, Otto has been sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT all on his own. I'm amazed. Never did I think I'd be the mother with a baby who sleeps! ME!? Anyways, it's amazing. After he wakes to eat, he goes back down for a couple hours while I run. Usually during my run Milo comes down the stairs and scares me from here to Sunday and I let him watch a movie with chocolate milk and cereal while I finish. We go take a shower together and wait for Otto to start stirring.

Usually Milo heard Otto before I do. We'll be downstairs playing cars and he'll say, "I HEAR OTTO! We gotta go get him!" And race up the stairs so he can greet his little brother. I love that. He climbs up into his crib and says, "Hi Otto! Hi! Hi! How are you? It's ok!" And then tells me, "Mom, you gotta feed him. Otto needs some milk".

We usually go somewhere in the morning. A park, Barnes and Noble to play on the train table, Target, grocery shopping... wearing Otto and letting Milo walk if he can stay by me (often I regret this decision but he's gradually getting better).

We all nap together most days, in various rooms or the same bed. We wake up slow and then mosey out to the front porch and watch for daddy to come home. In the evening we all party like its 1999, bath time swimming included, and the boys go to bed around 8. Milo usually sleeps with us, and Otto boy is becoming quite the pro at sleeping in his crib.

We're in a good groove, and Trevor and I get some time just us 2 most nights before going to bed nice and early like the senior citizens we've become. Milo kicks us plenty and talks in his sleep, and Otto boy sleeps swaddled up still, on his side rolled up between 2 blankets.

Oh it's heaven, and the days are on repeat and moving nice and perfectly slow. Otto still feels so tiny to me and I'm loving just soaking in these boys all day every day!&
