Harem Pants

Newsflash: Texas is really, really hot in the summer. And Milo and I spend a lot of time playing/driving/walking outside. I'm always on the hunt for perfect hot weather clothes, but I have some requirements. I don't do sleeveless and I like my skirts/shorts to hit my knees. Which makes things tricky. But, nonetheless, I want to look as classy and polished and cute as possible without being drenched in sweat all day, so what's a girl to do?

On our weekly clearance rack wanderings (face palm) on Monday, Milo and I found the thinnest, coziest floral jumpsuit for $7. So I went there. And I'm going to be honest, I've probably never been more comfortable. Just as a point of reference, I came home and actually kept these pants on. Which 100% never happens.

I've been fighting the Harem pants trend for a while. I feel like with my wider hips and short frame, this look would just not compliment anything I have going on. But now that I've tried it once, I might just be hooked. So I either need someone to talk me in or out of it, or else I'm about to look like a genie all summer long.

  1. Those examples actually didn't look too bad. I've seen these ones before though:

    Those I don't like.
Your examples actually just remind me of your sweatpants. Since you like the kind that are banded or snugger at the bottom. Just these are lighter material and maybe more acceptable outside of home.
