Project Crazy

2:49 PM

Dear world,

I have been bit by the project bug and things are a little crazy over here right now.  I have more projects swimming around in my head than I know what to do with.  And I LOVE it.

Here are a few that I've completed:

I made the kids some yellow/gray, matching church clothes.  I'm such a sucker for making my kids match.  You can find the skirt tutorial here and tie tutorial here . (It's my favorite tie tutorial I've used it a million times.)

I used that gorgeous gray chevron fabric to make these yellow/gray bibs and matching diaper case for a friend of mine who is having a little boy next month.  The bib tutorial is here.

We put up our fall decor and I bought some mums.  I LOVE mums!
These mums are from CostCo and they are HUGE!  They were only $14 and they are absolutely gorgeous.  If you live near a CostCo I suggest you go get some, because they are the cheapest I have found!

Here is my fall mantle.  The kids helped me decorate last week and you would have thought it was Christmas they were so excited!

This is the decor above my TV.  I have been agonizing for four years about what to put above the TV.  This is what I finally decided on because I just had to pick something!  I spray painted the stars and the "W" red.  I got that frame pretty cheap at IKEA, and then just used mat glue to glue the fabric to the cardboard back of the frame and the "W" to the fabric.   I'm pretty happy with it!

I also spray painted the baskets in our IKEA shelf.  I kind of love them red.  They used to be wicker colored.

And I hung this star up in our kitchen, which I also spray painted red.  Then I decided I needed to stop spray painting everything red.  I think my husband got scared I was going to start spray painting the kids or something :)

I really think that doing projects is one of the only things that keeps me sane sometimes.  It's way better than therapy.
