If you move a girl to Texas

12:44 PM

(a true story inspired by the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie)

If you move a girl to Texas she will probably love the schools and the cost of living and the people.

This will make her happy.  And she will probably want a house full of kids to help her take advantage of the schools, and the cost of living will, thankfully, allow her to afford those kids.

That house full of kids will probably inspire her to find lots of fun things to do with her kids, like spend the day at the lake in April.

Going to the beach with the kids will remind her that it's kind of hot in Texas, because HELLO, swimming in April is kind of crazy.

The heat in Texas will probably make her mad.  Because she doesn't like being hot and sweaty.  She may whine and complain a little (or a lot) about the heat.

Then one day she'll be driving down the road in her (husband's) full-size, air conditioned truck listening to Tim McGraw and that will make her feel like a southern girl and she will want some cowboy boots.  Cause all souther girls need cowboy boots.

And thinking about cowboy boots and Texas and good southern living will make her realize that, despite the heat she really does love Texas.

And seeing all the good things about Texas will make her really glad that she moved here in the first place.

I do still need to go buy those cowboy boots, though!

Happy weekend y'all!
