Sew Crazy

7:48 AM

The last week all I feel like I've done is sew.

I'm in charge of a girls camp this summer for our church and I've been making super hero capes for the girls.  I made 8.

I've been making baby gifts for all my friends who keep having babies like crazy.  Really.  I have about 10 friends who have just had or will have babies in the next 6 months.

And I've been making gifts for miss Madi.  Because today is her 6th birthday.

She asked for an American Girl doll so that she could have matching clothes with her doll.

I'm mean and cheap.  I made her doll clothes for her cabbage patch doll instead.  It's not that I'm against American Girl dolls, but I know Madison's personality and she won't play with the doll enough to justify spending $120 on it.  She just wants to be matchy matchy with her doll.

Outfits for Madi and my niece.  We are having a family party for them on Sunday.  They are the only girl grandkids and their birthdays are only 10 days apart.

And now I'm going to take a break from my sewing machine.  I love sewing, but I'm seriously done for a while.  Maybe I'll do something like dust or de-clutter my house.  I HATE clutter.  I'll have to save that post for another day!

Happy weekend.  We will be celebrating Madi's big day all weekend long!!  Yay for birthdays!!
