Allergy Sufferer

10:08 AM

I hate to be a downer and a complainer, but I just have to get this out there.  I put the "suffer" in allergy sufferer.  Seriously.   It's so stinking ridiculous.

Yesterday I woke up and felt like I was going to die.  It was like I had pink eye and a cold at the same time.  Oh and I couldn't stop sneezing. Oh and also I was feeling super exhausted and achey, like when I have the flu.   Have you ever tried to drive your kid to school while sneezing non-stop and squinting through your puffy red eyes?!  Super fun, let me tell ya.

THANKFULLY I had some eye drops in the cabinet from when Madi had pink eye last fall.  So I squeezed those in, which burned like nobody's business.  I took a zyrtec, put the baby in the high chair with a bottle, turned on cartoons for the boys, and passed out on the couch for 30 minutes.

That did the trick.  By 9 a.m. I was semi-functional, thank goodness.  But seriously, WHY do I have to have a stupid immune system that has decided that common particles floating in the air are worth attacking?!  Just save the pain and suffering for the real germs you dumb immune system!!!  Dust and pollen are SO not worth your time and energy.

I've had sinus surgery AND allergy shots to try to fix my immune system.  It has helped, but every couple of weeks I wake up with these dumb attacks.  I know it's not the worst malady that a person can have, but it's still super lame!

This is probably the source of my allergy attack.  Photo shoot with the kids.

Totally worth it.

This is the FIRST year in my entire life that I have been affected by pollen. It's crazy.

  3. I'm 100% on the same page. Definitely feel you! Do you use a Neti-pot? It has saved me from getting sinus infections that used to result from my allergies!
