Marching On

3:37 PM

We did it! We made it through February!
And you know what, it was not so bad.
For anyone who is wondering, this means that we officially only have ONE more winter in Utah.
And it may only be half a winter.
Thank you world!

Then it will be on to our next adventure.
This could include teaching English in China or Thailand (crossing our fingers!)
Being parents (also crossing our fingers!)
Moving to a faraway part of the nation (somewhere warm)
Physical Therapy school for Trevor
And who even knows what else?

If there's one thing I've learned, it's that a year is a lot shorter than we think.
I'm so happy right now.
Life is good, simple, and pretty carefree.
Someday it will get more complex.
While I'm excited for babies and moving and everything life will bring,
There's plenty of time for all of that.
Right now I'm glad we have right now.

Simple, low-rent apartment.
Date nights consisting of movies at home and cooking together.
Staying up late and sleeping in because we can.
Leaving town at the spur of a moment.
Life is oh, so good.

It's also nice to be looking forward to what's ahead.
Can't wait to research apartments
and schools for our little ones
and running trails
and parts of town
wherever Trevor goes to school.
Camping at the beach in California for a whole week this summer (EEK!)
Being tan again. Oh my whiteness, you need to leave me.

Happy March to you!

  1. I hear you on the being tan thing. Living in Europe has done nothing good for my skin tone. I haven't been this white since my momma gave birth to me!

  2. If you're white...then I'm translucent. Going outside doesn't improve it either. I just become lobster colored instead. So SPF 40+ will be my friend at the beach.

  3. I'm so happy everything is going so well in your life! You should tell Trevor to apply to the University of South Carolina for Physical Therapy school. They have an awesome medical school. For reals. You could come south and live in my city where it's warm all year round. :)

  10. Oh the world is your oyster for sure. Enjoy this time, although it seems that you are. Adventure is around every corner. Love your 'how we met' story, too cute. Also I clicked on your other site and am wondering where the first (grey, one shoulder) swimsuit is from. Thanks.
