The Hunger Games

7:36 AM

I went to see the Hunger Games last Saturday with Mr. Wise.

We had horrible seats.  Just downright awful.

Sometimes when you have to coordinate the babysitter and meeting friends you just don't get to the theatre as early as you should.   We got there 25 minutes early and we were on the second row.

Why does the second row even exist?   I literally got sick to my stomach trying to watch all the action scenes in the movie.  Lesson learned.  Next time we will just wait a week.

Anyway, I really enjoyed the parts of the movie that weren't blurry actions scenes (cause when you sit that close it's hard to tell what's going on if the actors are running around).

My thoughts:

- loved the actress they used for Katniss, she's beautiful, but definitely not a super-model, just very real-life

- poor Peta, I hate to sound sexist, but if I was a guy and a girl kept saving my butt, I would be a little embarrassed, at least he didn't let it keep him from loving her

- when the wolf/dog jumped out I about had a heart attack (the girls behind us screamed, I don't think I did though)

- loved the costumes, especially her red dress at the end

- I got more emotional than I thought I would, maybe I cried a little at the beginning, but don't tell Chris, he will make fun of me

I can't wait for a chance to actually WATCH the whole movie someday!!  Definitely a keeper.

What did you all think of the movie?

  2. Aw man, I'm sorry about the bad seats! Yeah, you should definitely watch it again and actually WATCH it ;)
Haha, I agree with all your comments! Peeta is so sweet though. Wonder how he'll match up to Gale in the next movie, huh? Oh the love triangles!
I especially appreciate the actress they chose. I noticed throughout the movie how she's such a real-life kind of girl. Thank goodness. I mean, no offense to super models or anything, but its refreshing to see a girl like her on the big screen!

  7. I can't wait to see that movie! I am waiting to see it until the crowds die down though. They really should not put seats that close to the front of the screen!
